Topic: C.E6 Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports
Synopsis: During their growing up years, children go through various changes and transitions in their environment and may experience difficulties with adapting to their new life experiences. Apart from parents, consistent support from preschoolers is important in developing children’s basic skills, especially in communicating their needs, and providing a positive environment to develop their sense of independence.
Therefore, the primary aim is to equip preschool teachers with skills to manage difficult behaviours of young children. Emphasis is placed on understanding behaviours and learning about positive support strategies to minimize or prevent difficult behaviours from occurring, from a case study.
