Topic: A.E9 Unlocking Potential Together: Collaborative Strategies for Teachers and Therapists


Synopsis: This workshop highlights the critical importance of collaboration between preschool teachers and therapists. Each professional brings in unique expertise and diverse experience to the table. By working together synergistically through unlocking the professionals’ potential, we can better meet the different learning needs of our young children, ensuring a more inclusive and meaningful learning environment.


In this workshop, we will introduce possible collaborative opportunities to broaden our perspectives on how teachers and therapists could collaborate as a team. Within each collaborative opportunity, we will also discuss specific strategies that will enhance both lesson planning and delivery.


By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the complementary roles of teachers and therapists in a preschool setting

2. Identify collaboration opportunities for teachers and therapists to work as a team

3. Describe collaborative strategies to promote better student access and participation
