Bernard is the founder and director of Dinosaur Speech Therapy, an early intervention centre that provides speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy and counselling, as well as an Early Intervention Programme. He is a speech and language therapist by training. A recipient of the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) scholarship, Bernard started his professional career at SGH after graduating from NUS. He has worked across a variety of settings including community hospitals, private hospitals, preschools as well as in an international school. He has experience working with various different conditions including children with speech and language delays/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down's Syndrome, hearing impairment, neurological disorders/impairments, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), amongst others. Bernard started Dinosaur Speech Therapy with a mission to provide creative, fun and engaging therapy and intervention that would maximise a child's learning, and encourage more to espouse and adopt this approach. At present, besides running the company, Bernard continues to manage a clinical load and maintains a special interest in children with ASD.
