Bernard Tan Speaker Profile

Director/Speech and Language Therapist
Dinosaur Speech Therapy
Bernard is the founder of Dinosaur Speech Therapy. A recipient of the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) scholarship, Bernard started his professional career at SGH after graduating from NUS. He has since worked across a variety of settings including community hospitals, private hospitals, preschools as well as in an international school. He has experience working with various different conditions including children with speech and language delays/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down's Syndrome, hearing impairment, neurological disorders/impairments, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), amongst others. Bernard maintains a special interest in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and tries to advocate for the needs of these children in the preschool/school environment as well as out in the community whenever he can. While there is now more awareness of neurodivergent children and their learning differences, it is his hope that there will be true acceptance and inclusivity - starting from the classroom.
